Nov 11 Open Studio
The artists in residence at the Siena Art Institute Nina Papaconstantinou and Tania Saleh will open the doors of their studios to the public on Thursday 11 November from 18.00 to 19.30. It will be possible to admire the work in progress inspired by the artists from their stay in Siena.
In Nina Papaconstantinou's studio it will be possible to view the artist's projects, the result of an analysis on the relationship between text and images. Nina Papaconstantinou's works are a modern reinterpretation of famous literary texts, selected, cut and converted into images to the point of depriving them of their semantic component.
In Tania Saleh's studio, on the other hand, the public will be able to admire the illustrations that the artist and musician will use as a preparation for the creation of an animation inspired by the landscapes of Siena.
The public is warmly invited to participate in the visit where they can converse with the artists. The Open Studio will take place on Thursday 11 November from 6 to 7.30 pm at the SART headquarters in Via E.S Piccolomini 2.
