Throughout the spring, we are speaking with creative professionals including visual artists, designers, perfumers, artisans, writers, architects, and scholars from all over the world for STARTERS LIVE, our new web series live every Tuesday and Friday on Facebook page of the Siena Art Institute!

Poet, scholar, artist, perfumer, and somelier Susan Barbour is our presenter for STARTERS LIVE Tuesday May 5th at 5:30pm Siena time (11:30am New York time) connecting with our viewers direct from the US (presentation in English) led by an introduction by from the Siena Art Institute's Academic Director, Lisa NonkenSusan Barbour was an artist-in-residence at the Siena Art Institute in the spring of 2019. Susan was recently in southern Tuscany for a residency at the Castello di Pontentino researching the natural ecosystem for inspiration in developing a perfume project, but she had to cut short her stay and return to the US amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. We talk about this and more during our broadcast discussion (see video above)
