Angerami Artist Talk April 12

Join us on Tuesday April 12th at 6pm for an artist’s tak with Angerami, one of the current artists-in-residence at the Siena Art Institute.  The event will be held in-person at the Siena Art Institute as well as live-streaming through the Facebook and YouTube pages of the Siena Art Institute.

Angerami is a visual artist and educator based in Sao Paolo Brazil.  His work is divided between the studio and outdoor activities, often with local and indigenous Brazilian communities.  He understands art and education as agents of transformation in the same continuous process within society.  Angerami uses drawing, painting, sculpture-installation, printmaking, video, photography and urban interventions to support his research.

His works are present in permanent collections of international institutions, such as, among others, the Kyoto International Printmaking Association in Japan.  He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Brazil and around the world.

Angerami earned his Master in Fine Arts at New York University, and previously received his BFA and Visual Arts Teaching License in Brazil from the Faculdade de Belas Artes de Sao Paulo.
