Announcing the results of The Peace Room '26 call!

A great success for The Peace Room ’26

The Peace Room ’26 was met with overwhelming interest, consolidating the success of the Pilot call and garnering a little shy of 100 applications, with applicants from over 30 countries including: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Ecuador, France, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Lituania, Mexico, Montenegro, New Zealand, Peru, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Sudan, the Netherlands, the UK, the United States, Turkey and more.

The success, partly due to the renewed collaboration with Italian Cultural Institutes abroad, confirms the general interest in the project and its value in shaping a new generation of young artists whose practices touch social engagement and environmental consciousness. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all applicants for showing interest in the Project and invite them to apply once more to future editions of The Peace room scholarship!

Introducing our Full Scholarship Recipients

After several selection rounds and through evaluation from The Peace Room’s advisors the following applicants have been selected to receive a Full Scholarship for the Spring Semester 2026 at SART:

Delaney Fellows (Canada-USA) Fascinated by European medieval history and its relation to current times, Delaney uses multimedia art as a means of exploration. They are particularly interested in themes such as the cyclical recurrence of time, community and social engagement, roots and, more recently, sustainability.

Helena Jovanović (Serbia) The City and urban environments dominate Helena’s current practice. She’s fascinated by the exploration of a new smaller dimension, where the human element and nature are strongly bound together.

Reinbergs Mārtiņš (Latvia) Society and its complex relationship with art deeply intrigue Mārtiņš, who translates his research into sculpture. He is also curious to see how interacting with the community can change his approach to art.

Sidonia Kharabadze (Georgia) Environment deeply influences Sidonia’s process. She’s fascinated by languages and human forms of expression: faces, movements and complexity.
