The 2025 edition of SienAgosto

The 2025 edition of SienAgosto promises to be ambitious and diverse. Running from August 25 to 29, it will feature an outstanding faculty including Lynne Dawson, Elisabeth Priday, Daniel Taylor, Paul Beier, Giulia Nuti, and Michael Chance himself. The course places special emphasis on early repertoire as a foundation for all vocal expression and culminates in a rare and extraordinary event: the performance of Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers for the Blessed Virgin (1610): a first for Siena.

Three public concerts will showcase the results of the Academy’s collaborative work, with students performing alongside the Chamber Choir of the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and an ensemble of Italian instrumental virtuosi.
