INNER WORLDS – short animation night
Curated by our long-term ESC Volunteer Annabella Kosztin, INNER WORLDS – short animation night proposes to explore emotional connects through video. The event will explore how this art form can be used to express what words often cannot: our inner experiences, whether it be fears, inspirations, emotional struggles, or anything in between. The curator will propose a viewing of a selection of animated short films that will be followed by a moment of commentary, sharing and talk.

The programming
The event will feature six short animations, selected by Annabella Kosztin to be used as starting points to start a conversation:
Eeva – (Morten Tšinakov & Lucija Mrzljak, 2022)

Teeth – (Tom Brown & Daniel Gray)

Bleeding Bonds : A Tale of two sisters | “Skinned” – by Joachim Hérissé

Washing Machine – by Alexandra Májová

Wednesday with Goddard (Nicolas Menard 2016)

STILL LIVES Kiirehessä liikkumatoin (Elli Vuorinen, 2020)

The Banks of Ohio (Adams, 2024)
The main focus of the event will be to discuss and register how people from different backgrounds react to the same inputs, how emotions can be triggered through the use of a visual medium and how group dynamics can affect personal views. The viewing of the material is for educational purposes only. All credits belong to the original creators of the videos.
