Sheri Simons is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, drawing, mapping, and interactive urban projects that merge theatrical staging with machine aesthetics. Influenced by Detroit’s industrial culture, she constructs hybrid installations using motors, electronics, wood, paper, and rubber to explore movement, systems, and fragile technological narratives. Her internationally exhibited practice includes public art commissions and residencies that engage communities through walking, mapping, and participatory urban experiences. Alongside her artistic work, Simons has contributed to arts education as Professor Emerita of Sculpture at California State University, Chico.
