Seiko Tachibana is a Japanese-born artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area whose work balances Asian aesthetic traditions with minimalist modernity. She completed her Master of Art Education at Kobe University in Japan and earned an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her distinctive practice explores universal principles and interconnected structures through shape, color, and spatial relationships, often using circles and organic forms to evoke ideas of connection and unity. Tachibana’s work has been exhibited internationally and is held in major public and private collections, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and the Portland Art Museum, as well as numerous institutions and collections across the United States, Europe, and Japan. She has received awards such as the Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation Award, affirming her presence in contemporary art.
