Maria Vlandi

Born in Athens in 1952, Maria Vlandi studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, graduating in 1976, and ceramics at the Athens School of Fine Arts, graduating in 1978. She has presented eight solo exhibitions in Athens between 1988 and 2016, primarily with Medusa Art Gallery. Vlandi has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and internationally, including Italy, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Canada, Switzerland, and Turkey, as well as major art fairs such as Art Athina. Her work has received multiple awards, including First Prizes at the Panhellenic Ceramics Exhibition and distinctions at international ceramic competitions in Italy. In 2003, she was awarded prizes for public art proposals for Athens Metro stations. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and a founding member of the Association of Ceramic Artists of Greece.
