Kostis Velonis (b. 1968) is a Greek sculptor based in Athens whose work explores the afterlives of Modernist and avant-garde ideas through sculpture, performance, and installation. His practice often embraces “awkwardness” and humor to question political narratives, class identity, and everyday materials. Velonis has exhibited internationally at institutions including Palais de Tokyo, Whitechapel Gallery, Witte de With, and Museo Tamayo.
