Emily Ginsburg is a Portland-based visual artist and educator whose conceptually driven work explores how communication, behavior, and meaning intersect across media platforms. Her multidisciplinary practice includes painting, drawing, print, installation, video, and sound. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, with public art commissions for Seattle City Light, Portland State University, and the Washington State Arts Commission. Ginsburg has received grants from the Regional Arts and Culture Council and held residencies in the U.S., Brazil, Finland, London, and Italy. Her work has been featured in DATA FLOW, The Map as Art, Art Papers, and more. She is Professor and Chair of BFA Programs at Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she also leads the Intermedia Program and teaches in the MFA in Visual Studies.
