Dennis McFarland is the bestselling author of seven novels, including School for the Blind and The Music Room. His short fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, Best American Short Stories, and the O. Henry Awards, and he is a recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and Stanford University. He lives in rural Vermont with writer and poet Michelle Blake.
