Borinquen Gallo is an Italian-Puerto Rican artist based in the Bronx whose sculptural installations explore beauty, community, and social systems through repurposed materials. Her work has been exhibited at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, BRIC, Smack Mellon, the Queens Museum, and Burning in Water Gallery. Gallo holds a BFA from The Cooper Union and an MFA from Hunter College. She has received awards including the Sol Shaviro Award and the Marion Netter Fellowship, and has participated in residencies at the Bronx Museum AIM Program, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, and Vermont Studio Center. She is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Pratt Institute.
