Fall Semester 2018 (Sept 1-Dec 14)

Application deadline: April 30, 2018

  • September 1: Students meet the school staff at Florence’s Peretola Airport and depart for orientation. We ask that students arrive by 2pm in time to meet staff at the arrivals area by 3pm at the latest.
  • September 1-3: Orientation.
  • September 4: Intensive 3 weeks begin (Art & Society Intro Unit, plus Italian Intensive)
  • September 21: Intensive Italian exam.
  • September 24: Semester elective courses begin.
  • October 23-26: Mid-term exams and critiques.
  • October 26-November 4: Mid-term Break.
  • November 29-December 2: Long Weekend break.
  • December 8: End of Semester exhibition opening 4-6 pm
  • December 10-12: Final exams.
  • December 12: Final Critique and Final Dinner.
  • December 13-14: Departure. (You are responsible for your own return transportation.)

Spring Semester 2019 (Jan 24 - May 17)

Application deadline: Nov 1, 2018

  • January 24-26: Orientation
  • January 28: Intensive 3 weeks begin (Art & Society Intro Unit, plus Italian Intensive)
  • February 15: Intensive Italian exam
  • February 18: Elective Courses begin
  • March 25-28: Midterm exams and critiques
  • March 29-April 1: Long weekend mid-term break
  • April 19-May 28: Spring break
  • May 1: National Holiday (International Labor Day)
  • May 11: End-of-Semester Exhibition 
  • May 13-15: Final Exams and Critiques
  • May 15: Final Critique and Final Dinner
  • May 17-18: Departure (You are responsible for your own return transportation.)
