Fall Semester 2019 (Sept 1 - Dec 13)

  • September 1: Students meet the school staff at Florence’s Peretola Airport and depart for orientation. We ask that students arrive by 2pm in time to meet staff at the arrivals area by 3pm at the latest.
  • September 1-3: Orientation.
  • September 4: Intensive 3 weeks begin (Art & Society Intro Unit, plus Italian Intensive)
  • September 20: Intensive Italian exam.
  • September 22: Semester elective courses begin.
  • Nov 1-10 Mid-Term break.*
  • Nov 22-25 Long Weekend.
  • December 7: End of Semester exhibition opening 4-6 pm.
  • December 9-11: Final exams.
  • December 11: Final Critique and Final Dinner.
  • December 12-13: Departure. (You are responsible for your own return transportation.)

*Please note: You are required to leave your host family during the week-long Midterm Break.

Spring Semester 2020 (Jan 24 - May 15)

Application deadline: Nov 1, 2019

  • January 24-26: Orientation
  • January 27: Intensive 3 weeks begin (Art & Society Intro Unit, plus Italian Intensive)
  • January 29: 4pm "Slide Slam" Ice-breaker
  • February 13: Intensive Italian exam
  • February 14: School field trip (all day)
  • February 17: Elective Courses begin
  • March 23-25: Midterm exams and critiques
  • March 26-March 29: Long weekend mid-term break
  • April 3-4: Overnight school field trip
  • April 10-19: Spring break*
  • April 24: School field trip (all day)
  • May 1: National Holiday (International Labor Day)
  • May 9: End-of-Semester Exhibition Inauguration 4-6pm
  • May 11-13: Final Exams and Critiques
  • May 13: Final Critique and Final Dinner
  • May 14-15: Departure (You are responsible for your own return transportation.)
