StARTers Live with Gabriel Feld May 8

How can we creatively respond to this global quarantine period? Throughout the spring, we are speaking with creative professionals including visual artists, designers, perfumers, artisans, writers, architects, and scholars from all over the world for STARTERS LIVE, our new web series live every Tuesday and Friday on Facebook page of the Siena Art Institute!

Our speaker for StARTers Live on Friday May 8 was Gabriel Feldan architect, artist, and teacher. He has been a professor at Rhode Island School of Design since 1990, serving as head of the architecture department (1997-2002) and chief critic of the European Honors Program in Rome (2014-16). He received his Architectural Diploma from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1980 and his Masters in Architecture from Harvard University in 1988.  His teaching includes both design studios and seminar courses dealing with urban culture.  His architectural practice both in his native Argentina and in the United States has involved residential and institutional projects, large-scale affordable housing, industrialized construction, urban design and transportation. His artwork—including printmaking and installations--has been exhibited throughout Europe, the US and Argentina.

The event is part of our ongoing series StARTers Live! conversations with creative professionals around the world discussing art in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
