Tuesday 12 May at 17:30 (presentation in Italian). Nicoletta di Gaetano is an independent textile designer and researcher. Investigate textile surfaces with a multidisciplinary approach aimed at tracing the deep meanings and cultural values inscribed in the artefacts.
What does it mean to be an artist during the quarantine period? We will talk about it with writers, architects, visual artists from all over the world: it is StARTers LIVE !, the new web series live every Tuesday and Friday on the Siena Art Institute Facebook channel!
In 2015 Nicoletta di Gaetano was the co-founder of Officine Contesto, an applied arts laboratory with an adjoining Textile Design studio where limited edition textile collections were born. He founded the School of Weaving and Textile Design in 2012 at the Upholstery Museum in Bologna. A teacher, lecturer and consultant for the study of art fabric, ancient and contemporary, collaborates with the Polytechnic of Milan, with various national museums and with the Siena Art Institute.
