Firenze Trips with SAIC winter-term students
We led two action-packed trips to the nearby city of Florence with our winter-term study abroad art students from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as part of their intensive course "Living the Past in the Present" at the Siena Art Institute.
Locations we visited included the Museo Galileo, the Specola Museum of Natural History (inluding their remarkable collection of anatomical wax models) the Opificio delle Pietre Dure (including a behind-the-scenes visit to their laboratories) and the Uffizi Gallery!
