Brandeis-in-Siena 2019 summer courses begin

Our Summer 2019 Brandeis-in-Siena program has begun, with a busy first two weeks spent in orientation activities exploring Siena, and the start of the coursework in Art History and Painting.  For the fifth year in a row, the Siena Art Institute is hosting a group of students from Brandeis University for this intensive five-week program combining a course in the Medieval and Renaissance Art History of Siena and Florence led by Prof. Roberto Fineschi and a course in Oil Painting led by Prof. Joseph Wardwell, utilizing techniques inspired by historic approaches to painting utilizing contemporary points of view.  The summer is off to a good start and we're looking forward to the weeks ahead!!
