Gary Eldon Peter’s short fiction has appeared in Water~Stone Review, Great River Review, Queer Voices, and other publications and has been performed on Selected Shorts on National Public Radio. Oranges, his debut linked short story collection, won the 2016 New Rivers Press Many Voices Project competition and was published in 2018. It also received the Midwest Book Award and was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award, the Friends of American Writers Chicago Adult Literature Award, and the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law. He is a faculty member in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in writing, law and popular culture, and the future of work and technology. His current writing projects include a new collection of short stories and a novel.
