Looking forward to Summer Residency with Nigerian writer Ayobami Adebayo

We're looking forward to the start of Ayobami Adebayo's summer residency at the Siena Art Institute, beginning July 5th.  

Ayobami Adebayo's stories have appeared in a number of magazines and anthologies, and one was highly commended in the 2009 Commonwealth short story competition. She holds BA and MA degrees in Literature in English from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife and has worked as an editor for Saraba magazine since 2009. She also has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia where she was awarded an international bursary for creative writing. Ayobami has received fellowships and residencies from Ledig House, Thread, Hedgebrook, Ox-bow and Ebedi Hills. Her debut novel, Stay with Me, which was shortlisted for the Kwani manuscript prize, is forthcoming from Canongate (March 2017), Alfred A. Knopf (August 2017), Ouida Books and Kwani Trust. Swedish and Italian translation rights have been preempted by Pirat Förlaget and La Nave di Teseo respectively. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria.
