Floren.art - Rinascimento digitale per la sostenibilità del contemporaneo

Siena, 12 Dicembre 2017, ore 17.30. L'artista Bernardo Giorgi condurrà una passeggiata attraverso il centro storico di Siena, da Piazza Tolomei a Castelvecchio. La missione? Scoprire gli antichi mestieri, le pratiche tradizionali e gli artigiani del territorio attraverso gli occhi di un artista contemporaneo. Insieme esploreremo l'antica Farmacia Quattro Cantoni, incontreremo il Maestro Marmista Emilio Frati, restauratore dei marmi del Duomo, e i Mastri Vetrai di Vetrate Artistiche Toscane.
La passeggiata si chiuderà con un APERITIVO durante il quale sarà possibile ammirare le opere realizzate dai giovani artisti di Siena School for Liberal Arts e Siena Art Institute ispirandosi alle pratiche artigianali toscane.

Floren.art - Digital Renaissance for the sustainability of the contemporary

Siena, 12 December 2017, 5.30 pm The artist Bernardo Giorgi will take a walk through the historic center of Siena, from Piazza Tolomei to Castelvecchio. The mission? Discover the ancient trades, traditional practices and local artisans through the eyes of a contemporary artist. The walk will open the doors of craftsmen's studios in the historical centre. Participants will be welcomed by the hundred years old chemist shop Antica Farmacia Quattro Cantoni, managed by the Liserani family; the stone-master Emilio Frati who was in charge of the restoration of the Duomo floors, and the glass masters owners of the Vetrate Artistiche Toscane.
The walk will end at 7 pm with a drink offered by the Siena Art Institute when participants will be able to admire the work of the young artists of both the Siena Art Institute and the Siena School for Liberal Arts, including work inspired by the traditional practices and craftwork of Tuscany.
